“Making a Difference: The Ravens Caw to Action Experience at Westminster Rescue Mission”

Caw to Action - Group Photo

THANK YOU for joining us at the Westminster Rescue Mission yesterday as part of the Ravens Caw to Action! We were so excited to be chosen by the Ravens and United Way as the only site in Carroll County for this year’s event. Your helping hands made a big impact locally, and you were part of 5.7 million minutes of community service completed across Maryland in one day!

Working together, in just for three hours you:

  • sorted 3,220 pounds of food into 161 boxes for distribution through our Mission Food Program;
  • pulled weeds that filled 3 tractor carts;
  • spread 3+ cubic yards of mulch;
  • prepped the soil, seeded, and spread straw on more than 3,000 sf of lawn; and
  • applied more than 20 gallons of paint in hallways, staircases, meeting rooms, and the chapel.

Your contribution of time and willingness to help beautified our campus and will help hungry neighbors feed their families. There are some terrific photos featured on the Carroll County Times – check it out!

Thank you for joining us for the Ravens Caw to Action, and we hope you will return to volunteer again at the Westminster Rescue Mission! To learn more about volunteer opportunities, visit Volunteer/Service – Westminster Rescue Mission.
