Ways to Support Women's Recovery

Our Women's Recovery Home is opening this summer, and we couldn't be more excited about the lives that will be changed within its walls. Our home is designed specifically for women who are pregnant or parenting children and are on their recovery journey. Because we don't yet know who our first residents will be, we don't know exactly what they'll need — but we want to be ready. Whether you have a skill to share, time to give, or a gift to donate, every contribution helps us build a strong foundation before we even open our doors.

How to Help

It Takes a Village

Your gift — large or small — is what makes this home possible.

Shop our Walmart Wish List

Pick up items that will directly support our patients, including items to supply and furnish our Women's Recovery Home. Online donations will ship directly to the Mission.

Be sure to check back!

More items will be added as we identify the needs of our incoming residents.

Prefer to let us do the shopping? Gift cards let us purchase what the women and children need, when they need it. Recommended retailers include: Home Goods, Marshall's, Kohl's, Target and Walmart. Just mail, drop off at our main campus or purchase online and send to donate@westminsterrescuemission.org.
Be sure to include a note - For the Women's Recovery Program.

Do you have a skill to share? Interested in volunteering?

We're creating a community of support for our incoming women and children — a directory of skilled, generous people we can reach out to when a need comes up. You may not hear from us right away, but knowing you're there makes all the difference.

Home & Skills - gardening & planting, cooking & meal prep, entrepreneurship, budgeting & personal finance.

Career & Professional - resume writing, job interview coaching, computer & technology, accounting and finances.

Parenting & Family - parenting skills, child development, reading to children and early literacy, tutoring (any school subject).

Churches & Organizations: Partner With Us

Our Women's Recovery Home is built on the belief that no one should walk the road to recovery alone — and that belief is strengthened when our whole community shows up. Whether you're a church, civic group, business, or community organization, there are meaningful ways to get involved.

Fundraise on Our Behalf - One of the most impactful things your group can do is host a fundraiser and donate the proceeds to help us purchase items from our wish list or provide gift cards for our residents. Some ideas to get you started:

  • Bake Sale
  • Pancake Breakfast or Spaghetti Dinner
  • Spare Change Drive
  • Host a "Gift Card Shower" — invite your congregation or group to donate gift cards for groceries, baby essentials, clothing and household needs. (Recommended retailers: Home Goods, Marshall's, Kohl's, Target & Walmart.)

Volunteer as a Group - Help us prepare the home and property for our first residents. We need help with brush clearing, seasonal cleanup, furniture moving, deep cleaning and MORE!

Commit to Pray - Before a single renovation is complete or a resident walks through our doors, prayer is already at work. Add us to your prayer chain, group prayer lists, or bulletin and invite others to join you. Please pray with us for:

  • The smooth completion of renovations and final approvals as we prepare to open our doors
  • The women and children we will soon welcome into the home, and their families
  • All women facing the challenges of recovery
  • Our staff and volunteers as they prepare to serve with compassion and care
