Men who enter WRM for recovery work through a highly structured program of daily classes, training, work therapy, counseling, case management, 12-step meetings and Christian curriculum which is typically completed in 9 months. Throughout their experience at the Mission, the men are encouraged to participate in a local church, attend AA/NA/CR meetings, and keep focus on the vision for their future that God has purposed for them.

Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Services at the Westminster Rescue Mission

  • ASAM 3.1 level of Care
  • CARF accredited, Maryland Behavioral Health Administration License
  • Highly structured, 9 month residential Program
    • 28 beds for men
    • Women’s services to open in early 2020
  • 5 hrs/week of Clinical services (staff includes LCSW-C, LCPC)
    • Mental Health and Addictions Counseling
    • Individual Counseling
    • Group Counseling
    • Family Mediation option
    • Evidence-based practices (CBT, MI, Trauma Informed Care, etc)
  • CRNP provides on-site primary care, psychiatric care and medication management
  • Peer Recovery Support Services
  • Multiple 12 step mtgs on campus and in the community (AA, NA, CR)
  • Work Therapy
    • 6 hrs/day, 6 days/week
    • Soft and hard skill building for workforce development
    • ServSafe certification offered for all clients
    • Training and certification offered for Forklift, Skid Steer operation
    • Variety of workstation assignments, some of which are tenure-based
    • Community Service Component

    • 1 hr/day, 5 days/week
    • No requirement for Christian belief

Men who desire freedom from addiction and life in Christ are encouraged to call our Peer Recovery Coordinators at (410) 848-2222.  This is a residential program with rules, responsibilities and opportunities.  We are not a detox facility and we are not equipped to serve some dual diagnosis circumstances.
